GED (General Education Development Exam) The GED is a battery of 5 tests consisting of Language Arts Writing, Reading, Math, Science and Social Studies. It is recommended that students first take a practice test to determine level of preparedness.

• A GED Practice test is offered at Hamilton Adult Center three times each month. Students must pay a fee of $15 and register for the practice in person during office hours.
• The GED Exam is offered once a month and spaces are limited. Students must provide a valid and current California picture ID when registering for the exam.
• The fee for the exam is $150 cash or money order, no credit card or checks, and must be paid at the time of registration. Spaces cannot be reserved without payment of fees.
• Registration is based on available space.
